A tradition: During the Canucks 08-09 season, Alex Burrows “snapped” his stick after scoring a breakaway goal to stop the Canucks eight game losing streak, resulting in a 4-3 win versus the Carolina Hurricanes. It was claimed to be the Canucks turning point of the season.

Today after Burrows scored the shootout winner versus goalie Jimmy Howard and put a stop to their 23 game winning home stand, he “snapped” his stick once more, symbolizing the end of the Wings winning streak.

Mr. Clutch, anyone?
